CHAPTER 3
Classification is a procedure we employ to facilitate the understanding of an object. Ordering and classifying enables us to record, arrange content and connect data. For this reason, classification is a fundamental part of the Sapiens method. In this chapter, 11 different classifications are presented, grouping together no less than 74 criteria, by which a wine tasting can be parameterised: according to the motivation of the person involved in the tasting; to where it takes place; to the information available; to the profile of the person attending the tasting; to the number of wines to be tasted, etc. This chapter ends with five paradigmatic examples that help us to apply the different classifications.
